# Tricky JC2 Chemical Bonding Question






This is a more elaborate form of a crown ether, of which diagrams could be found in undergraduate chemistry textbooks. It is found that a potassium ion could be nestled within the pore of the crown ether.

 Suggest the type of interaction / bonding between the oxygen atom and the central potassium cation.
